Exercise Tips for Busy Moms June 20, 2018

Being a mom is not as easy as you think. At times, the day gets insanely busy, while other times you feel like losing it. Sometimes you have to be away from your kids even when you do not want to. Business travel, work, and other demands mean you cannot be there for all the little things that your kid does.

Worse still, you end up forgetting all about yourself. Without realizing it, you have a bulge in the place where you had a six-pack, and you gain weight in places that you never knew existed before.

One thing you should never forget is having time for your workouts. Let us look at how you can still reach your workout goals each day;

Change the Way You See the Exercise

Do not look at exercise as just another type of task that takes up your time. Instead, look at it as an investment in your health. Since you want to be around your kids as long as possible, exercising is the perfect way to get all the energy you need.

Exercise also helps put you in a good mood so that you can interact with your kids well. You also sleep well, which make you a better mom.

Exercising is also one of the best ways to inspire your kids to follow your footsteps. You are setting a positive example for your daughters to be active and healthy moms in the future.

Excuses Will not Lose the Fat

Moms get overwhelmed with schedules and many to-do lists, but don’t use this as an excuse to let the fat accumulate. Be tough on yourself and talk to your inner self how healthy it is so important to you. Instead of making endless excuses, try to make time for working out. This can be early in the morning when the kids are not up or late at night when they have gone to bed.

Have the Right Equipment

You need the right equipment to come up with a workout routine each day. The equipment should be ideal for home exercising and should give you the kind of exercise you want.

The ideal exercise that helps tone various parts of your body is the exercise bike. Make sure you choose a bike from Indoor Training Bikes that suits your body type and one that gives you the kind of features you need.

Before you install the bike, make sure you have the space you need for it. This can be your garage, living room or even basement.

Have a Plan

You need to have an exercise plan and know when you are going to exercise early in advance. Have an exercise plan before you go to bed each night. Lay out the clothes and snacks for the next day so that you get moving immediately when it is time for working out.

The plan should include what workout you are going to perform on that day. Make sure you cover core body parts each week so that you try to have a balanced body.

The Earlier, the Better

Some mums work out way early before the sun comes out, and before the rest of the family wakes up. Can this work for you as well, or do you prefer doing it in the evening with the kids watching?

With the right equipment in the home, you can be able to work out any time you like, though you have to follow the recommendations of your fitness instructor regarding working out and meals.

If you are a work-at-home mum, you can have a few sessions each day during your break times.

Work Out With the Kids

Are the kids old enough to handle a sweat? If you are working out at home, you can ask the kids to join you! Get them a few mats and tell them what to do, or you can have small exercise equipment for them to use. You might be surprised at how they enjoy the sessions!

Final Words

Having a workout routine in the home is one of the ways to stay fit as a workout mum. Take time to understand what you need to achieve and go for it using the tips above!
